         Present: 

1.      CALL TO ORDER

 

2.      ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW PRESIDENT;  Liz Croley

 

3.      INTRODUCTIONS

a.      NEW PROCESS EXPLANATION

                                                              i.      People will be asked to scan the QR CODE to register their attendance at online meetings.

                                                            ii.      ONLINE: MEMBERS ROLL CALL ONLY

4.      APPROVAL OF THE DECEMBER 2025 MINUTES- MOTION PLEASE:  Lisa moves, Deb seconds approval.  Motion carries.

 

5.      TREASURER REPORT BY MELANIE HAEN:  Balance $11,808.08.  Have not paid BOS dues in 2025.  Melanie will send another email to agencies that have not yet paid in February. 

 

 

6.      NEW BUDGET PLAN MOVING FORWARD;  Executive team is working on a budget which will be shared next meeting.

 

7.      COORDINATED ENTRY PRESENTATION BY LIZ CROLEY:  attached

a.      DISSCUSSION ABOUT PIT coming up Jan. 28th

                                                              i.      NEED 1-2 LEADERS YET

8.      JANUARY AGENCY SPOTLIGHT: VALLEY TRANSIT: Stephanie Gifford is Travel Training Specialist to help people learn to ride the bus.  Speaks Spanish and has access to language line.  Sarah Schneider, Mobility Manager with VT—helps people overcome barriers to transportation.  Transition to WISGO, new way to pay for the bus.   Website:  myvalleytransit.com  has maps, schedules, etc.  10 minute video on using WISGO is on the website.  No more paper tickets, now there is a fare card or you can pay cash or use the WISGO app on your phone, but it has to be exact cash.  Need to load money on the card. Every individual riding the bus needs their own card or app.  Some partners (FVTC, LU or AASD middle/high schoolers) can use the bus free.   There is a fare cap so system will not charge you more than two uses per day.  Also a monthly cap.  Veterans also ride free.  There are ways for agencies to pay for their clients.  Contact Stephanie.Gifford@appletonwi.gov and sarah.Schneider@appletonwi.gov

 

9.      COMMITTEE UPDATES

a.      AFFORDABLE HOUSING- SUSAN GARCIA FRANZ:  On Feb. 1st  7 a.m. Newsmakers Sunday (CBS) Bonnie Nussbauma and Susan will be talking about affordable housing and Housing Champions

b.      COORDINATION AND ENGAGEMENT- LIZ CROLEY:  would like more access points for CE, let Liz know if you are interested in becoming an access point.

c.      CHURCHES UNITED IN CARE- NADINE DUNCAN: Jennie Moore and Mike Maitland did a presentation on the collaboration between Pillars and St. Joe’s for the cold weather response.  Meetings once a month at Memorial Presbyterian monthly except for 4 times a year when the lever leaders meet.  Next lever leader meeting is in March. 

d.      DEI COMMITTEE- TRACIE LA RUE MOEN:  Will meet in February to revisit the speaker. 

e.      INCREASE IN EMPLOYMENT INCOME- JENNIE MOORE:  Next meeting Jan. 24

11.  OTHER BUSINESS: 

·       Grand Chute Housing Study has been released:  will be discussed at their board meeting in February

·       BOS Conference coming up in February.

·       Hearing going on right now at state capitol around homeless encampments.

·       Badger State Housing Alliance Curds of WISDOM webinar today at noon on impacts of HUD changes to funding.

·       Watch for emails that are not legitimate; be cautious of which files you are clicking on

·       Next month we will try out a new invitation and the zoom links for all upcoming meetings will be the same.

·       If anyone is looking to join and support Fox Valley Veteran’s Council’s 1920s themed fundraising event, we’d love the support. It is coming up on March 7th, (Saturday) at Venue 404. It’s all inclusive, food, entertainment, beverages, musics, games all included.
