1.     CALL TO ORDER/ATTENDANCE:  Attached

2.     UPDATE FROM CHRIS STEWART, Director of FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER (FRC):  (located in the former Trout Museum building.)  Focus on neglect and abuse prevention, educating parents.  Will have Parent education, parent connection groups, drop in for parents/kids;  focus on kids up to age 8.  Will have 5 floors:  One floor will be leased out as a child care center and another floor will be leased to aligned nonprofits.  Hoping to  have a “one stop shop” for resources.  Hoping to be open late summer, early fall.

3.     APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 2026 MINUTES:  Becky moves, Jennie seconds approval.

7.     COMMITTEE UPDATES

a.      AFFORDABLE HOUSING- SUSAN GARCIA FRANZ:  Badger State Alliance Advocacy Day held virtually on March 17th.  Some changes coming in the state so building relationships with legislators around housing is important.  Sign up as a Housing Champion on our website.

b.      COORDINATION AND ENGAGEMENT- LIZ CROLEY:

c.      CHURCHES UNITED IN CARE- NADINE DUNCAN:  no report

‍ ‍

d.      DEI COMMITTEE- TRACIE LA RUE MOEN:  No report

‍ ‍

e.      INCREASE IN EMPLOYMENT INCOME- Jennie Moore:  Developing a strategy to help people with increasing their income.  Important for our Coalition to work on this

8.      VOTING: (if your agency isn’t called, the agency isn’t in good standing) Susan moves, Rachel seconds appointing the City of Appleton as lead agency for the below:  28 member organizations in person.  25 voted Yes, 0 voted No, 1 abstained and 2 left early. Motion carries.

     10.   FOX CITIES HOUSING ALLIANCE UPDATE:  KRISTINE GIORNALISTA:

Branding - We're in the process of identifying a new name. Among other things, this will help us avoid confusion with the Coalition

‍ ‍

               Website - We anticipate having our website go-live in early summer.

‍ ‍

 Alignment Among Housing Groups - representatives from FCHA, FCHC, CUIC and the Faith Lever groups met to discuss a network map, which shows which groups are working on housing projects/initiatives. The network map is meant to be a working document and will be shared with the respective groups later this spring.

‍ ‍

Work is ongoing related to exploring a Community Land Trust, comparing residential zoning and developing a policy agenda.

‍ ‍
