C. Approval of April 15, 2025 Minutes: Becky Heldt moves, Deb Langacker seconds. Motion carries.
D. Treasurer’s Update--Deb Langacker; deposit of $375. Welcome Memorial Presbyterian and Calumet County Human Services. $45 spent on refreshments. Total: $12,228.96
E. Coordinated Entry Update--Liz Croley: Attached. 10-20 volunteers still needed for PiT and others needed to help with the Salvation Army lunch each day of the following week. Sign up with Liz. Could house everyone on the list with around $6 million plus cost of case management. Liz can do coordinated entry presentations for groups that are interested.
F. Spotlight: Affordable Housing Committee Presentation--Deb Langacker and Connie Raether; attached.
G. Action Plan Committee Updates if applicable
a. DEI--Tracie La Rue Moen: working on connecting with a speaker to come in. Talking about the weight of the state of the union and loss of partners due to administration.
b. Prevent or Reverse Criminalization of Homelessness Committee-Lisa Strandberg: Stressed PiT and importance of reaching out to your local elected officials, school superintendents, etc. to join
c. Increase Non-Employment Cash income--Jennie Moore: Reviewing progress and tracking unearned income.
d. Report to the Community Ad-hoc Committee--Jonathon Pylypiv: Date set Oct. 9th, location to be finalized. Registration will begin about 3:30 and program and networking til 7:00. Will be needing member organizations to supply info about their org for a brochure.
H. Other Business:
· Affordable Housing presentation June 16, APL.
· BOS will be doing a presentation immediately after our September meeting, “State of Homelessness.” Targeted to our coalition. Statistics, resources and opportunities for advocacy. About 2 hours total. Invite elected officials. Molly will check on availability of other school district locations if we need a larger space.
· BOS quarterly meeting is May 30th and open to everyone.
· Final action plan due June 8
· Molly thanks everyone for working so hard as more families have found permanent housing this year than last.
· On Monday, take time to remember those who died serving our country. Saturday will be a Memorial Day Ceremony, May 24, 10 a.m. Outagamie County Memorial, 410 S. Walnut, Appleton
· AHA will be sending out a formal notice to the Housing Coalition very soon regarding the opening of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List for new applicants! Keep an eye out in the coming days!
